At Main St. Psychiatry the health and well-being of our patients and our community is our first priority. As such, we are taking precautions to prevent the spread of illness in our office and ask that our patients do the same. First and foremost, if you are sick and/or feeling unwell please stay home. If you need to have contact with your provider for any reason and cannot come in due to illness, we are more than happy to discuss any concerns over the phone.
We encourage everyone to follow CDC recommendations including regular and appropriate hand washing, avoiding close contact with people who are sick and/or vulnerable to illness, covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze, and cleaning/disinfecting regularly used surfaces often. We are taking these measures in our office to do our best to ensure any patient that does come in does not get sick.
We also encourage those with anxiety and depression to be mindful of the news and online material they consume that can exacerbate symptoms. Please be aware of how much information you consume related to the virus and the impact this can have on your overall functioning. Be conscious of sticking to reliable sources such as the CDC and avoid those sources and individuals looking to stoke unnecessary panic. If we are all careful and work together as a community, we can ensure that we remain healthy and safe.
